Dosehri Mango in the UK
Dosehri is one of Punjab's most widely grown mangoes and the gentlest of the main export varieties. This page describes what it is and how to reserve one.
Why this matters
Dosehri is often the variety that turns cautious first-time buyers into regular customers, because it is soft, sweet and unchallenging.
Character
Medium-small fruit with a pale honey-yellow skin, sometimes flushed cream. The flesh is amber-coloured, fibre-free and soft when ripe, with a gentle floral sweetness.
Season and region
Dosehri typically runs from early June through early July. It is grown across the Punjab districts including Sahiwal, Multan, Khanewal and Bahawalpur.
Reserving a Dosehri carton
Dosehri cartons open on the shop page as June approaches. Fresh Pakistani mango consignments arrive through the season. Most volume goes into our UK wholesale network; direct customer orders are allocated from the freshest available arrival. PakMango dispatches Monday to Thursday across mainland UK, and the carrier's expected delivery follows dispatch. Carrier delays are possible, so delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees.
At home
Dosehri softens quickly. Ripen at room temperature for around a day, then refrigerate to slow further softening. Cut and scoop with a spoon rather than the grid-and-flip technique, the flesh is soft enough that scooping is often easier.
