Langra is a Pakistani mango variety from Multan, Punjab, in season July to August. It is known for tropical, pineapple, citrus flavour notes and a fibreless texture. Green outside, gold inside.

Famous for staying green even at full ripeness, the Langra rewards the patient. Cut one open and the flesh glows saffron-gold, juicy and aromatic with a bright, tropical sweetness that lingers. A late-season favourite for those who wait for the best.
PakMango.Com sources Langra from Shah Langra Bagh, run by Hafiz Shah and sons. The orchard sits on clay loam, slow-draining at 130m above sea level. A Multan orchard named after the original 'langra' (lame) farmer who first cultivated the variety in the 18th century. Trees here are pruned annually by hand to preserve the variety's tight clustering.
Langra is harvested between Early July and Mid-August, peaking Late July. Fresh Pakistani mango consignments arrive in the UK daily during the season, check the expected delivery for your postcode before checkout.
Most cartons arrive at, or close to, eating ripeness. If a mango is still firm, leave it on the counter at room temperature for 24 to 48 hours; it will develop freckles, give slightly to thumb pressure at the stem end and release a strong aroma. Refrigerate only once fully ripe.
