Anwar Ratol is a Pakistani mango variety from Rahim Yar Khan, Punjab, in season June to July. It is known for caramel, vanilla, tropical flavour notes and a fibreless texture. Small fruit, enormous flavour.

A pocket-sized mango with cult status. The Anwar Ratol is dense, aromatic, and almost custard-like, eaten whole, skin peeled back like a clementine. Limited harvest, limited weeks.
PakMango.Com sources Anwar Ratol from Ratol Bagh, run by Sheikh Anwar's grandsons. The orchard sits on mixed sand and silt, cholistan edge at 88m above sea level. The original Anwar Ratol mother tree was planted in 1928 by Sheikh Anwar-ul-Haq. Today's orchard is a direct graft lineage, kept deliberately small, fewer than 600 trees, all hand-pollinated.
Anwar Ratol is harvested between Mid-June and Late July, peaking Early July. Fresh Pakistani mango consignments arrive in the UK daily during the season, check the expected delivery for your postcode before checkout.
Most cartons arrive at, or close to, eating ripeness. If a mango is still firm, leave it on the counter at room temperature for 24 to 48 hours; it will develop freckles, give slightly to thumb pressure at the stem end and release a strong aroma. Refrigerate only once fully ripe.
